Notice to Drivers:

Dear TLC Licensees,

Subject: TLC Driver Interest Requested for Delivery Work

The World is changing around us and many of you are without work as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. You are a top priority for the TLC and we recognize that you are among the hardest hit by this public health crisis. As we look at all possible ways to help you and as we assess needs citywide, we ask for your assistance and participation in the City’s response.

We are looking for TLC-licensed drivers with a TLC-licensed vehicle to help the City of New York with important work related to COVID-19, such as delivering food to senior citizens who need to stay home. Visit DeliveryTLC to learn more and register your interest today.

Initially the need for drivers will be small, but expected to increase as more residents request meal delivery. This work will be paid: Drivers will be paid $15/hour, plus reimbursement for gas mileage and tolls.  Drivers will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are not initially selected, we hope to reach you in the days ahead as demand for meals increases.

Signing up is easy:

  1. Visit www.nyc.gov/DeliveryTLC
  2. Register by providing some simple information, such as your name, phone number, email, TLC license number, and details on getting paid
  3. Sign up for your first shift in the app

Finally – remember to keep yourself and your neighbors safe. Do not sign up for shifts if you are feeling sick. Visit the Health Department’s website for more information for how to protect yourself and others.
