Extension of Grace Periods Due to Covid-19

GOVERNOR CUOMO EXTENDS MODIFICATION OF LAWS AFFECTING THE EXTENSION OF GRACE PERIODS UNDER LIABILITY AND FULL COVERAGE POLICIES WHERE INDIVIDUALS AND SMALL BUSINESS CAN DEMONSTRATE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP

Governor Cuomo had issued an Executive Order permitting the insurance and finance companies listed below place a sixty (60) day hold on cancellations, non-renewals or conditional renewals for any missed payments, as a result of financial hardship due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, during the period of March 29, 2020 to April 28, 2020 (the “covered period”).

On May 7, 2020, Governor Cuomo issued Executive Order No. 202.28 extending the covered period up to and including June 6, 2020.  If you would like to make a request for relief, then please advise us as soon as possible by filling out the State of Financial Hardship form available at this link: https://lariverside.com/covid-19-statement-of-financial-hardship/.
