MAYOR BILL DE BLASIO APPOINTS CIRA ANGELES TO THE SURFACE TRANSPORTATION SECTOR ADVISORY COUNCIL.
Cira Angeles, Spokesperson for the Livery Base Owners Association and Chief Executive Officer of L.A. Riverside, was honored this week by being appointed to the Surface Transportation Sector Advisory Council.
Mayor de Blasio announced earlier this week that the Sector Advisory Councils will inform the Administration’s efforts to restart the economy and city life. The councils will serve as critical links to disseminate information about re-opening and provide guidance to shape the City’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“These councils will provide real world guidance to ensure our plans to reopen the city make sense and keep people safe. We are facing an unprecedented crisis, but by working together, we will come out stronger than before,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio.
The Mayor also announced Sector Councils on Non-Profit and Social Services; Public Health and Healthcare; Faith-based; Construction and Real Estate; Education, Labor and Workforce; Large Business; Small Business; and Arts, Culture, and Entertainment.
“As the only representative on the Council of New York’s livery industry, which is crucial to the transportation of the hard-working families living in Northern Manhattan and the outer boroughs, I would like to thank the Mayor and his office for allowing the Livery Base Owners Association to help get this great city back to work. We look forward to working with the many talented and respected industry leaders on the Council to get this job done,” said Ms. Angeles.
